Daniel Mettler

Daniel Mettler grew up as a missionary kid in Indonesia. This helps him understand the difficulties of life in poverty and the challenges organizations have with limited resources and options.

He is a software engineer in Switzerland and manages a small team of developers. He uses this experience to create the processes and structures necessary to manage Swiss School System.

His team also volunteered to develop and sponsor the education platform of Swiss School System.

Tanja Mettler

Tanja is a senior primary-school teacher in Switzerland. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience and is specialized in teaching languages.

Tanja volunteered in daycares in Arusha, Tanzania and used her knowledge about the tanzanian school system to develop Swiss School System. With creating lessons of all subjects, she gives children all over the world access to sustainable learning.

Tanja is coordinating all Swiss School System Locations in Tanzania and is in direct contact with native employees.

Daniela Waldherr

After graduating from business school, Daniela got her federal certificate in finance and accounting. She advises 2givelife in financial matters and manages the accounting.

Her Business background helps her being a Patron in South Africa. She will use her contacts in South Africa to introduce and set up the Swiss School System in Cape Town.

Maria Sattelmaier

Maria grew up in Germany but always wished to explore different cultures and countries. After graduating from school, she moved abroad and lived in China, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and South Africa, where she gained valuable insights and experiences about these countries and their people.

These experiences motivated her to complete a master's degree in international development and enabled her to work on projects for the UN and in the renewable energy sector in Asia.

While living in South Africa she began working as a Program Manager and Fundraiser for 2givelife. She believes that good educational programs in early childhood in particular can reverse the effects of poverty and early deprivation on children.

Janine Roberts

Janine is an operations and social impact leader based in Cape Town with over 20 years’ experience building and supporting purpose-driven organisations. She founded Ukama Contract Packing, a social enterprise that works with small, independent businesses in local communities to create sustainable employment and support economic development. She has founded and managed other NGO’s working in South Africa over the past 20 years.

Through her work in social enterprise and community initiatives, Janine has developed a strong commitment to projects that empower people to build better futures for themselves. As a Country Lead of 2givelife.org, she supports the organisation’s work in expanding educational opportunities and helping communities develop sustainable systems that benefit children and families.

Elizabeth Shio

Elizabeth Shio is the Country Strategy Lead for 2givelife.org in Tanzania. She brings more than nine years of experience in education, development work and NGO program implementation, with a strong background in strategy, operations, stakeholder coordination, safeguarding and results-based management.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts with Education from the University of Dar es Salaam and is currently completing a Master of Education in Administration, Planning and Policy Studies at the Open University of Tanzania. Her professional experience includes leadership roles in country-level and regional program implementation, early childhood development activities, monitoring and learning systems, government and partner coordination, and team leadership. Before moving into NGO program management, she worked in the school sector as a teacher, assistant school manager and school board member.

In her role at 2givelife.org, Elizabeth supports the strategic growth of the Swiss School System program across Tanzania. Her focus is on strengthening local structures, building meaningful partnerships with government representatives, schools, NGOs and communities, and supporting the development of new hubs.

Elizabeth is passionate about creating meaningful impact through education, strategy and community development. She enjoys connecting with people, listening to their needs and turning ideas into practical action. With her strong understanding of the Tanzanian context, she helps ensure that the work of 2givelife.org is locally rooted, relevant and sustainable.

What motivates her most is seeing children, teachers and families gain confidence and new opportunities through education. Through dedication, collaboration and local leadership, Elizabeth contributes to 2givelife.org’s mission to make quality early childhood education accessible to more children in Tanzania.

Oliver Wildhaber

Oliver has been working in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry for almost 40 years. His passion is the global networking of markets, the promotion and creation of efficient innovation with sustainable development. 
He is convinced that education is the key to long-term progress. 
That is why he has been supporting global aid projects for decades. With 2givelife.org, he sees a revolutionary opportunity to promote and implement education for children in Africa quickly, easily and efficiently.
As an ambassador for this innovative concept, he is committed to making 2givelife.org more visible internationally - with the clear aim of giving as many children as possible access to a good education

Marco Rohrer

Marco Rohrer has been an entrepreneur in the IT industry since 2001 and is considered a pioneer in the field of Identity & Access Management (IAM) in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
He founded and developed one of the most successful consulting and integration companies for IAM in Europe.

As a Swiss federally certified business economist, Marco brings deep expertise in entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, and organizational development. In addition to his role at IPG, he serves on boards of directors and actively supports start-ups and passion projects in the areas of security, eHealth, and adventure. He is also involved in the Winterthur Chamber of Commerce, contributing to regional economic development.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the same opportunities for education and personal growth. For this reason, Marco is committed as an ambassador for the Swiss School System project by 2givelife.org, which provides children in Africa with access to quality education. With his persuasiveness and network, he aims to help as many young people as possible experience a positive and formative education.
